2012 Ice Age (2011)

2012 Ice Age (2011)

Directed by: Travis Fort

Starring: Patrick Labyorteaux, Julie McCullough, Katie Wilson

Do you think that The Asylum saw The Day After Tomorrow before they made this movie, by chance? You can basically put the two movie posters together and it would be the same image, for fuck’s sake. Never stop what you do, The Asylum. No wait, scratch that, reverse it. STOP RIGHT FUCKING NOW YOU HACKS.

A family must travel from New Jersey to New York in order to reunite with the daughter of the family. Also, a glacier 400 times as big as New York is apparently attacking the eastern seaboard, freezing everything over and causing huge, poorly CGI’d storms.

Seriously, this is some of the laziest goddamn special effects I’ve seen in a long time, and they’re all over this frozen turd of a film. It relies entirely on the “actors” telling us that they’re scared and things are bad, and if you just follow the action of the film it seems like there isn’t any sort of conflict at all. Goddamn Asylum movies…
