Why do I keep watching this shit? I need to just come to grips with the fact that Leslie Nielsen will never make another funny movie again and that he hasn’t been in anything decent in twenty years. Also, that any movie that has a title in the form of “___ Movie” will be fucking terrible.
Superhero Movie is an almost shot-for-shot re-inaction of Spider-Man, except this time the main character is The Dragonfly, and there’s farting! Lots and lots of farting.
Seriously, there’s a grand total of about ten minutes out of the whole film where they aren’t just re-doing Spider-Man with farts. There’s a pointless scene making fun of X-Men that has nothing at all to do with anything else, and Mr. Fantastic shows up for a second, also for no reason. See, that’s why Airplane! is such a good spoof movie; sure the majority of it is spoofing Airport, but they fit in a bunch of other spoofs within the narrative of the film, and also there are fucking JOKES. Farts are not an acceptable punchline to every single joke. I just want to make that perfectly clear.
