Wow, they only made two Timecop movies? Color me surprised! I figured they would’ve at least had one sequel in the late 90’s back when Jean-Claude Van Damme was scraping the past victories of his plummeting career. Hell, they might’ve even gotten Don “The Dragon” Wilson to be in something like that!

There are apparently two competing agencies who are responsible for keeping people from changing the past. “Time cops” if you will. One group wants to go back and shoot Hitler, and the other has to stop them. The guy who wanted to shoot Hitler gets arrested, so he goes back in time to kill the parents of everybody in the other group and only ONE MAN can KICK his way through TIME to stop him!!

It’s actually much more confusing than that, but that’s the general gist of it. Even as far as a time travel action movie goes, Timecop 2 has some serious issues keeping its own plot together. A lot of it just doesn’t make sense by their own ill-defined time-travel logic, and even if you completely give up on trying to understand what’s going on (as you well should), the action is really uninteresting and generic action movie fare. It’s not even that action-oriented, since they spend way too much time on their own nonsensical time-travel mechanics. So, SURPRISE SURPRISE, Timecop 2 is a shitty movie. WOW, good thing I’m here to tell you this!
