Godzilla (aka Return of Godzilla or Godzilla 1985) has an obnoxious number of different names. Also, it’s the first major reboot of the Godzilla franchise, casting him again in the role of the villain out to destroy Japan instead of it’s monster savior. It also has a bitchin’ movie poster!

After a Russian submarine is destroyed, a global incident is on the brink of breaking out. However, things settle down a little when it turns out it’s just Godzilla. OH SHIT, GODZILLA?! RUNN!!!

This is basically a remake of the original Godzilla (except they already know about him, so I guess it’s a sequel or something, I dunno) where the big lizard just smashes shit up for a while. It looks really good and I like the new Godzilla costume… but it suffers from the flaw that several of these do: He doesn’t fight another monster. After 15 of these things, just having a guy in a suit step on some buildings ain’t gonna cut it.
