This is the best kind of movie, one where I don’t even have to tell you that it was obviously filmed on a budget of fifty bucks, all you have to do is look at the make-it-yourself DVD cover! I really have no idea how movies like this are released to the public.

Hellgate is about a group of paranormal investigators who go into a haunted house and are driven crazy by it being hauntedness. In the end, it turns out they were all dead anyway, and the house was just a gateway to hell! Which… makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

I absolutely love that there are three people credited as directors on this movie’s IMDb page, and that one of them is also the main character. I’m guessing that’s code for these two guys directing whenever the main guy was on screen, and it was just whichever of these brothers were there that day. They might as well have sold this movie with a huge sticker on the front saying “SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL FILMMAKERS WHO HAVE NO TRAINING OR IDEA WHAT THEY’RE DOING”. I guess a completely unrelated picture of a woman’s cleavage sells more copies, though.
