Made by the same team who did The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra and The Lost Skeleton Returns Again, Trail of the Screaming Forehead is another parody type of movie, though it doesn’t quite hit as well as the other two films. Still, pretty good stuff.

Scientists discover that a person’s mental functions come not from the brain as previously thought, but in fact from the forehead. They then attempt to create the world’s smartest man by injecting his forehead with “foreheadazine”. Meanwhile, a group of aliens from another world attempt to take over the same town by attaching themselves to people’s foreheads (having long ago evolved into the most efficient body shape, a forehead).

It’s a pretty weird movie, all right. I think this movie requires familiarity with the parodied material more than the Skeleton movies, but if you’ve seen Invasion of the Body Snatchers or the like, you should be good to go. But still, watch The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra first. It’s way better.
