When Soldiers Cry (2010)

When Soldiers Cry (2010)

Directed by: Joe Black

Starring: Jess Weber, Douglas Szczesny Jr., Kristen Sargent

Oh good, the world needed more boring Vietnam movies. HEY, EVERYBODY! WAR IS BAD! DIDN’T KNOW IF YOU WERE AWARE, BUT IT’S TRUE!!

Two soldiers in Vietnam fight in the Vietnam war and talk to each other in stilted, unrealistic monologues that inevitably end with them either crying or getting shot at. Repeat for two hours.

Sorry if I seem uncaring or callus, but if you’re going to try and make a “horrors of war” movie, maybe you should do something that isn’t entirely cribbed off of other, earlier, MUCH BETTER Vietnam war movies. This is a film where you start getting angry at how repetitive and boring it is about halfway through, which is probably not the original target of the film. I guess writer/director/producer/editor/actor Joe Black just made a shitty movie as his first and only IMDb credit. Weird.
