Legion (1998)

Directed by: Jon Hess

Starring: Parker Stevenson, Terry Farrell, Corey Feldman

Remember Star Trek: Deep Space 9? Of course you don’t! Nobody does, because it was incredibly boring and wasn’t one of the two good Star Trek series’. Anyway, I guess the chick who played Dax left that show to try a movie career, and this was the first thing she did. Talk about stupid career decisions.

A team of ex-military prisoners are sent down to a planet to find out what happened to the last team of ex-military prisoners they sent down there. Turns out they were all killed by a half-person, half-lizard monster thing, which also happens to most of the people in this team. If it weren’t for the fact that they were actively trying to kill these people off, I’d start to question their tactics of sending prisoners.

However, this isn’t the only stupid action movie to use that sort of idea. It happens all the damn time. I guess for some reason they think that being an ex-marine prisoner makes a character more badass or something like that, when really it just makes no sense whatsoever. They put the person in prison in the first place for a reason, right? So fucking LEAVE THEM THERE and send real soldiers in to do whatever commando thing you need done. Stupid movie armies.
