Wild Guitar (1962)

Wild Guitar (1962)

Directed by: Ray Dennis Steckler

Starring: Arch Hall Jr., Nancy Czar, Arch Hall Sr.

It’s too bad you can’t see this poster a little bigger, because god damn is the drawing of that face hilarious. Looks more like Gary Busey than Arch Hall Jr. Anyway, this movie stars two of the main characters from Eegah and was directed by the guy who did The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies. How was this not an MST3K?

A dumb kid comes to Hollywood from some hick town and immediately becomes a pop singer. The movie’s mostly about his jerk of an agent and how he’s screwing the idiot kid over. You really can’t feel sorry for him, though, because every time you see his huge baby face you just want to PUNCH IT.

I can’t really think of anything else to say about this movie. It’s definitely a perfect example of a crappy 60’s B-movie, so it’s got that going for it.
