According to IMDb, this movie is called “The Blue Man”, which seems like a strange title, as I don’t recall even a single blue man in the movie. I guess that’s why they decided to rename it for the video release. On an unrelated note, why do all movies have to have eighty damn names?! GRRRAGHH!

A director of commercials is unhappy with his life, so he starts astral projecting in his sleep. This is the basis of the movie, so you can’t laugh at it. By strange coincidence, the people he visits in these nightly projections (ew) keep dying by mysterious heart attacks. The cop investigating the deaths finds the only movie this guy ever made, which is about these two old people who astrally project themselves into younger bodies once they get old enough, so they can live forever. However, first they have to ruin the target’s life by killing everybody around them. Wonder what could be happening to this guy…

This isn’t a very interesting movie or anything, but I have to give it some credit: It touches on a subject that isn’t all that common in horror movies. I mean, killing people in your dreams is pretty much the terrain of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies, and so I think most people just stay away from it, but this is a slightly different take on that idea, and it makes it a little unique. A little bit. But still, that’s worth a lot when all you do all damn day is watch the same four crappy movies over and over again, it seems.
