First Spaceship on Venus (1960)

Ah, there’s a good way to end a day’s reviews: Yet another MST3K. However, if you get a chance, you should definitely check out the MST3K. Not so much for the movie, but for the short beforehand and the skits. Good stuff. Oh, the movie? It’s stupid.
A multi-national cadre of astronauts takes a rocketship to Venus and finds the remains of a dead civilization that used tinkertoys as a storage medium and that could control lava, apparently. That’s… really all there is to this movie. Dumb.
This isn’t the worst sci-fi movie I’ve ever seen. Hell, it’s not even the worst sci-fi movie from the 60’s about Venus that I’ve seen. It is, however, very dull, and it might just be because I’ve seen it so many times, it’s almost impossible to even pay attention to it. Eh, whatever.
