Let’s all just admit it right now: Using the word “against” in the place of “versus” is WAY cooler. Versus is so… passe. It means they’re going to be fighting woo hoo. But wait… he’s just against the moon men? Maybe he’s not going to fight them, he could just write a letter to the editor about how he doesn’t much care for them. You never know!

Hercules DOES in fact fight some moon men in this film, strangely enough. Most of the movie follows the general Hercules movie recipe: Hercules goes to a new kingdom, the queen falls in love with him, and there are lots of dancing girls and sleeping. He’s an action hero! This movie’s queen is involved in a scheme to rule the world with the aid of some rock monsters from the moon, and Herc has to throw a bunch of heavy stuff around to save the world.

This isn’t all THAT bad of a movie, as far as these Italian Hercules flicks go. However, there is a 15 minute or so sequence where people are just running back and forth through a mountain being hit by a sandstorm. In the MST3K episode this was in, Dr. Forrester and TV’s Frank even mention this sandstorm as their sequel to “DEEP HURTING”. If you don’t know what that means, don’t worry your pretty little head about it. I’m just being a nerd up in this joint. ALL up in this joint, that is. Excuse me.
