Tron (1982)

Directed by: Steven Lisberger

Starring: Jeff Bridges, Bruce Boxleitner, David Warner

Man, remember Bruce Boxleitner? He was basically only ever in this and Babylon 5, but… well, he was pretty good in Babylon 5, anyway. Oh, Babylon 5, you were certainly… a show that has not aged well, but the middle three seasons are extremely well-written. That doesn’t really sound like a touching love note, does it? Ah well. Tron. Pfft.

Jeff Bridges is a fast-talking suave computer hacker who hacks himself a little too far and ends up inside the computer itself! Inside a computer, as we all know, are a bunch of programs who look like people, motorcycles, space invaders, and David Warner. Also, everything is black and white except for the neon lights which adorn every conceivable surface. Bridges has to defeat the evil David Warner so he can get back into meatspace and finally get the information he was looking for: Proof of copyright infringement. Wow. Exciting.

A COMPUTER IS NOT A GLOWING CITY FULL OF PEOPLE FIGHTING EACH OTHER IN GAY LITTLE BICYCLE HELMETS!!!
