There was a long time where I swore off zombie movies because I got tired of them and their fetishizing of murder. It’s been long enough that I guess I’m okay with watching them again, but instead I just complain about how I stopped watching them for a while and feel all fancy about it. So that’s what this is, my indulgence. Thank you for reading.
The Dark Lurking is a space zombie movie. You know, a bunch of scientists are on a space station and a crack squad of space marines go to help them from the zombie plague they accidentally caused. It’s a lot like Resident Evil, only it’s just no good at all. None good have.
There’s really nothing to say about this. It’s your standard zombie vs army guys movie… IN SPACE. The spaciness doesn’t actually add anything to the tired formula which has been kicking around since 1978. THIRTY-FIVE YEARS WE’VE BEEN DOING THE SAME EXACT THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN. ENOUGH.
