Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the Evil, Mutant, Hellbound, Flesh-Eating Subhumanoid Zombified Living Dead, Part 3 (2005)
Directed by: James Riffel
Starring: James Riffel
This is the (first) sequel to Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the Evil, Mutant, Alien, Flesh Eating, Hellbound, Crawling, Zombified Living Dead Part 2, a movie where this idiot dubbed a “funny” track over Night of the Living Dead. In Part 3, the movie is The Brain That Wouldn’t Die, which you might remember from an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000, where they actually succeeded in making it funny. Also that was ten years before this movie.
It’s The Brain That Wouldn’t Die, a movie about a scientist who accidentally gets his wife’s head cut off in a car accident and must keep the head alive while he looks for a suitable hooker’s body to sew her head on. In this version, everybody has the same voice and talk predominantly about boners. There are also snippets of old public domain clips and some “wacky” goings on that James Riffel filmed himself doing in his bathroom. Also, we’re supposed to think this is funny.
It’s not even less funny than the original, it’s exactly the same amount of completely unfunny. It’s the same exact experience, only this time, it’s… again. At the beginning of the film, Riffel brags that he made the film for less than $100 because he saw that Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds had a budget of $100 million, and claimed he could make something as entertaining for a millionth of the cost. Well, I went and watched that movie right after this to test this conceit, and it turns out he failed. Barely.
