Other People’s Money (1991)

Other People’s Money (1991)

Directed by: Norman Jewison

Starring: Danny DeVito, Gregory Peck, Penelope Ann Miller

Danny DeVito is Danny DeVito in: a story about a guy who’s a weird little asshole but you end up loving him at the end anyway. Just because it’s all he does doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a bad thing.

DeVito is a guy who buys up companies, then liquidates them to make money. He targets Gregory Peck’s small, old company as his next buyout, and they hire a young lady lawyer to fight him. DeVito falls in love with her and tries to both woo her and circumvent her to get his way.

This is a cute movie and it’s funny enough. DeVito’s good and the romantic relationship between the main characters is… cute. I dunno, it was fine but I don’t think it’s something I’d want to watch twice.
