Carnival of Crime (1962)

Carnival of Crime (1962)

Directed by: George Cahan

Starring: Jean-Pierre Aumont, Alix Talton, Tônia Carrero

Don’t let the name fool you, there are no carnivals in this film, and whatever crimes there may be are seriously on the domestic end of the spectrum. But I understand, who’d want to see an exciting film about crime when you could watch a tepid drama about marital unfaithfulness?

Let me see if I can figure out the complex plot and lay it out here for you: A guy’s wife cheats on him, so he tries to figure out who it was with. Then he does. The end.

It doesn’t help that the quality of the copy I got was exceptionally bad, but mostly this movie was bad because it was boring as watching paint dry. I understand why nobody bothered with getting a better copy, I wouldn’t go on some quest through castles in Argentina to find an original copy of this film, that’s for sure.
