I like the movie posters for the Saw series, anyway. In that my OCPD is assuaged by the fact that they all have a similar theme and color scheme and what have you. Also, even though Jigsaw is actually dead at this point, he’s still a major part of the rest of the series through flashbacks. Not something I would’ve done with the guy, but hey, it’s not my epic horror story.
Jigsaw is dead, and everything’s fine now, right? NOPE. One of the cops who HASN’T died yet is the subject of Jigsaw’s last plot, which basically involves teaching the guy to take over for him and continue his work. The cop is trying to save the cop from Saw II, who is somehow still alive, but to do it he must set up criminals in traps.
This is probably the second best film in the series, and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that it’s also the one that’s the second most similar to Se7en. What, like you thought that movie wasn’t a MAJOR influence on this series? Saw is basically the bargain-basement version of that movie, only from the victims’ point of view instead of the cops.
