It’s time for another movie challenge! Today I got five movies that are all really stupid comedies, of which Bio-Dome is not only the best, but it is BY FAR the best. Yeah, you only have to read the reviews, you’re damn lucky you didn’t have to watch this shit with me.
Pauly Shore and Stephen Baldwin (by and far the least of all the Baldwins) accidentally get trapped inside a “bio-dome” project which is supposed to be a self-sustaining environment for a year. They cause mischief, much to the chagrin of the five scientists who are also living there, but redeem themselves after they throw a party which destroys the place and they spearhead a campaign to restoring it to full efficiency.
I’m pretty sure that as soon as the idiots opened the door to the outside, the entire experiment was ruined and it made no sense for them to stay for the last 250 days, but what do I know or care. This movie is amazingly juvenile, and the comedy comes mostly from the two leads running into each other or spanking themselves or similar gags. Tenacious D has a short and weird cameo in the film, and it’s apparently the first thing they did together, so that’s… uh… noteworthy, I guess.
