I’m not sure what it is about these DC animated movies, but they just never really work for me. This is based on a solid-enough story, but it’s just not… cool. It should be a piece of cake to make super-powered people fighting each other look cool, but it always ends up just being dull and boring.
Batman, being Batman, came up with ways to dispose every member of the Justice League. You know, just in case something happens, they get mind-controlled, there are evil clones, etc etc. Unfortunately, a guy named Vandal Savage manages to steal his plans and starts his own Legion of Doom full of arch-nemeses to take down the Justice League. The plans work for everyone EXCEPT Batman, and then he saves everybody’s asses.
There are some good plans to knock these guys out, except for Wonder Woman. The plan to take out Wonder Woman is to have Cheetah (a lady dressed in a cheetah-print leotard with no powers whatsoever) punch her a lot. It works, though, so I just have to assume that Batman wrote “just punch her, w/e” in his file on her. It is pretty funny that the Legion of Doom has the big goofy swamp base like from that old Superfriends cartoon, I enjoyed that.
