The Flintstones: A XXX Parody (2010)

The Flintstones: A XXX Parody (2010)

Directed by: Will Ryder

Starring: Peter O’Tool, Hillary Scott, Brooke Lee Adams

You know what I enjoyed the most about this porn film? The sets and costumes. I am officially broken as a human being. But they were really good! Nearly as good as the big-budget John Goodman live-action version of The Flintstones, only on an obviously significantly lower budget. But still, they made detailed Flintstone-esque rooms and areas where they didn’t even have sex in, they were completely superfluous to the point of the movie. They apparently couldn’t get the rights to saying “Yabba-Dabba-Doo”, though. I’m sure Hannah-Barbara has that as copyrighted as humanly possible.

Fred Flintstone is having doubts about his marriage with Wilma. He believes she isn’t interested in him sexually anymore, and he fears that she may be engaging in an extramarital affair. Add to that the fact that his daughter Pebbles is now 18 and sexually active, and his best friend Barney won’t stop talking about the constant hot sex he has with his wife, Fred gets very depressed. He comes home on his birthday and sees his wife having sex with an old college friend of hers… but it turns out to be a delusion caused by him hitting his head on the door. Everybody loves him after all! It’s like It’s a Wonderful Life in the stone age, with the key difference being that It’s a Wonderful Life didn’t feature Mr. Slate ejaculating on a black woman.

The other impressive thing about this film was how a couple of the actors really got into their roles, specifically Barney and Betty Rubble. Brooke Lee Adams, who plays Betty, actually did a pretty decent Betty Rubble impression, and though Anthony Rosano’s Barney is only decent, he manages to keep it up during a 30 minute long sex scene. I know I couldn’t even have sex in the same room as The Flintstones playing on TV is Barney was talking, I can’t even imagine the Herculean efforts involved in actually talking in dirty talk like that.
