Wow, what a great title. It’s got Batman and Superman in it… and it’s a movie… fuck it, I ain’t gonna WORK to come up with a title! The Batman Superman Movie. Time for lunch.
The Joker comes to Metropolis so he can kill Superman. That’s the story. The Joker finds a statue made entirely of kryptonite and tells Lex Luthor that he’ll kill Superman for a billion dollars, which Lex agrees to. Since the Joker’s involved, Batman decides to visit Metropolis and stop him, and he and Supes team up to… not be killed. And also stop the bad guys.
Man, remember that Batman animated series from the mid-90’s? That was a fucking great show. The Superman spinoff they did in sorta the same Bruce Timm style wasn’t bad either, and this crossover movie was… well, not bad. Not great, but not bad by any means. You’ve got Mark Hamill as the Joker and Clancy Brown as Luthor, not to mention Kevin Conroy as Batman (who is, arguably, the best Batman of them all), and there’s the ur-Bruce Timm style… yeah, you could do a lot worse than watch this movie. Compared to other DC animated movies, that is.
