Journey Into Fear (1975)

Journey Into Fear (1975)

Directed by: Daniel Mann

Starring: Sam Waterston, Zero Mostel, Yvette Mimieux

Man, the star power in this movie… besides the three listed above, you’ve also got Ian McShane, Shelley Winters, Donald Pleasence, and even Vincent Price. All in a train-based mystery/horror film. You’d think it would be better.

Sam Waterston is a normal guy who finds himself suddenly threatened by people and forces he can’t see, nor does he know why they’re after him. The cops, in an effort to keep him safe, put him on a train full of a wacky cast of characters (who all basically want to kill him. More or less). Vincent Price says some words and Zero Mostel laughs at his own jokes, and the whole time Waterston doesn’t know what the fuck he’s supposed to be doing next.

This movie is kind of like a mystery, except they never end up explaining anything. At least, I don’t remember them explaining anything… maybe this is all a plot to make me lose my mind!! But the joke’s on the illuminati… I’M ALREADY CRAAAAAZYYYYY!!! AHHH HAHAHAHAHAAA!!!
