Directed by: David Lynch
Starring: Kyle MacLachlan, Isabella Rossellini, Dennis Hopper
Sex, sex, and more crazy sex! I guess before the internet, the only thing people had to turn to if they wanted uncomfortable, weird sex was David Lynch movies. I have no idea why the internet thought it needed to follow suit, though.
Kyle MacLachlan is a… random guy who becomes involved with a singer who is dating a psychopath (obviously played by Dennis Hopper). He’s trying to figure out where this disembodied finger he found came from, and it basically turns out to be Dennis Hopper, the crazy killer/drug user/sex fiend.
Boy, I’d like to give you more of an idea of why the characters in this film do the things they do, but I just can’t. MacLachlan’s character is the lynchpin (ha ha get it David Lynch ha ha) of the story, but there’s no real reason for him to do any of the things he does, and he never really reacts to any of the situations in the film like any person would. Hopper turns in a good performance as a lunatic, but since you never manage to connect with any of the protagonist characters in the film, his evilness is kinda wasted. But hey, at least there’s lots of uncomfortable sex that you don’t want to see!
